US Trades & Talent is searching for a Construction Safety Rep for multiple locations (Phoenix Arizona, Ohio, Georgia and Alabama)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Safety Representative to join our team. As a Construction Safety Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities on our job sites are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction safety regulations and experience working in a construction environment. You will be responsible for conducting safety audits, identifying potential hazards, and developing safety procedures to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety audits on job sites and identify potential hazards
  • Develop safety procedures and protocols to mitigate risks
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
  • Conduct safety training sessions for construction workers and contractors
  • Investigate accidents and incidents on job sites and prepare reports
  • Advise construction management on safety issues and make recommendations for improvements
  • Collaborate with contractors, construction management, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Maintain safety records and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, construction management, or related field
  • Certification in construction safety (e.g., OSHA 500-hour, CSP, CHST) preferred
  • 5 years of experience in construction safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Office and safety management software

Working Conditions:

The Construction Safety Representative will work primarily on job sites, which may involve exposure to hazardous materials, equipment, and conditions. The role may require travel to multiple job sites and occasional weekend or evening work.

Physical Requirements:

The Construction Safety Representative must be able to stand, walk, and climb on uneven surfaces for extended periods, as well as lift and move up to 50 pounds. The role may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and respirators.
