Position Summary:

As a Compound Pharmacist in our small pharmacy, you will have a direct impact on the well-being of our patients. Your role involves creating customized medications, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring that each prescription meets the unique needs of our community members.

Responsibilities:

• Custom Compounding: Prepare and compound medications based on physician orders, paying meticulous attention to detail.
• Patient Consultation: Provide clear instructions to patients regarding proper medication use, potential side effects, and storage.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control tests on compounded medications to maintain safety and efficacy standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with local physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to address individual patient requirements.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of compounded prescriptions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Community Engagement: Foster relationships with our neighbors, offering personalized care and advice.
• Continuous Learning: Stay informed about new compounding techniques and innovations.

Qualifications:

• PharmD Degree: Completion of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
• State Licensure: Valid pharmacist license in our state.
• Compounding Experience: Proficiency in sterile and non-sterile compounding.
• Communication Skills: Ability to connect with our community and provide clear guidance.
• Team Player: Collaborate effectively with our close-knit team.
