Assembly Associate

Associate Assemblers will work as partof a team to assemble and prepare smaller parts and components to be used in theassembly of the final product. Associate Assemblers will also assemble thewheels per the job instructions, as well as work on the assembly line, addingcomponents to the frame to assemble the chair. Preparation mayinclude, but is not limited to, assembly of smaller parts andcomponents, cutting material or parts downto size, and fitting components together by using apress, bonding, hardware, hand tools, or powertools. It may also include building larger quantitiesof components for stock in the local warehouse orbuilding a component specific to anindividual product.

Key Tasks

• Acquires job skills and learns companypolicies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
• Works on assignments that are routine innature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.
• Normally receives detailed instructions onall work. Works under close supervision.
• Reviewdrawings and/or instructions before each build.
• Acquireparts, hardware, and tools to be used during the build.
• Assembleeach component or part according to specifications or work instructions.
• Identifyany product defects, record, and report them accordingly.
• Acquiresjob skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routinetasks.
• Completerequired quality and production forms.
• Monitorand maintain inventory of necessary product at your station.
• Ensureworking environment is clean and safe.
• Workson assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.
• Normallyreceives detailed instructions on all work.
• Learnand Understand our Core Values.
• Mustbe able to work overtime as assigned.

Your Background

• High School diploma or equivalent, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.
• 0-3 years assembly or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires a general education,vocational training and/or on-the-job training.

• Ability to work as part of a team with close supervision.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to complete tasks per assembly line takt time.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and other documents.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and machines.
• Proficiency in the English Language both written and oral.
• Basic math skills.
• Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Additional Information

• Salary: Hourly rate of $18.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm with OT possibilities.
• Vacation or PTO: During initial year of employment: Up to 80 hours of vacation, which will be prorated based upon start date. After initial year of employment, earn 136 vacation hours.
• Sick Time: Per Washington State law, one hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked, with the ability to roll over up to 144 hours into the next year.
• Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefit options beginning first day of employment.
• Long Term Disability and Company Provided Life Insurance Policy for all employees
• 401K eligibility on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. Permobil offers Safe Harbor matching, with immediate vesting.
