Associate Inspector

The Associate Inspector performs procedures include the evaluation of raw materials, in-processcomponents, finished products, and equipment quality control to ensure aquality product.

Key Tasks

  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
  • Perform inspections, checks, and tests on wheelchair frames, wheelchair components, and finished wheelchairs, based on defined criteria, using standard physical, mechanical, and / or electrical measurements.
  • Accept or reject finished products and / or components based on predetermined inspection criteria.
  • Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audits standards.
  • Accurately document inspection and testing results.
  • Maintain controlled document files and test records in timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
  • Participate in construction and / or revision of inspection procedures.
  • Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.
  • Perform detailed and accurate counting and mathematical calculations.
  • Follow direction, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and awareness of surroundings.
  • Support all quality, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Otherduties and responsibilities as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may changefrom time to time.
