Permian Resources is Hiring a Corporate Planning Engineer Near Midland, TX
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Corporate Planning Engineer. Reporting to the Corporate Planning Manager, the Corporate Planning Engineer will provide corporate planning and reservoir engineering support for a variety of projects (as detailed below). The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities
Primary role is to control and maintain an accurate Corporate Planning model using software such as Actenum or Enersight
Provide Finance, Midstream, and Operations key outputs for making strategic decisions and infrastructure planning; including but not limited to Board presentations, hedging, capital returns program, facility sizing, etc.
Develop mock drill schedule scenarios that reflect various corporate strategies for upper management to review on a regular basis
Collaborate with multiple disciplines across the organization, i.e., Land, Reservoir, Accounting, Reserves, and Operations, in order to compile latest model inputs in the planning software
Quality check all budget inputs provided by each discipline to ensure data integrity
Review PDP forecasts and location type curves by utilizing best practices in order to validate the consistency and accuracy
Develop visuals to benchmark the quality of assets scheduled in future years
Leverage analytical tools, such as Excel and Spotfire, to provide regular up to date data summaries on the company’s actual performance against the budget and provide materials with findings on any material changes to the budget month over month
Identify risks associated with each budget to Corporate Planning Manager and provide potential solutions to mitigate or adjust guidance for the identified risks
Define and improve rules and methodologies for the planning group

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited College or University
5 years of oil and gas engineering experience with 3 years of reservoir engineering/corporate planning experience, preferred
Extensive knowledge of oil and gas asset modeling
Relevant reservoir engineering experience with unconventional resource plays, preferred
Must be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating within multi-disciplinary teams
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Actenum or Enersight, Microsoft Excel, and Spotfire; Microsoft Access/SQL preferred
