Perla Dental is Hiring a Part Time Orthodontic Assistant Near Fort Worth, TX
Responsibilities:
- Placing and removing orthodontic appliances, and taking full records under supervision of the Orthodontist
- Set up treatment rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures
- Perform accurate and efficient procedures to maintain the schedule and patient flow
- Review patient charts, log appropriate patient data and transcribe doctor notes
- Perform laboratory procedures under supervision of an Orthodontist
- Perform final checks on patients
- Clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment and operatory following standard protocols
- Adhere to all infection-control policies and protocols
- Take dental impressions and X-rays as needed
- Providing quality dental care to patients
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant required
- Proficiency in using dental software systems, such as Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement and recording
- Strong assisting skills, including sterilization techniques, instrument handling, and tray set-up
- Experience with CAD/CAM technology for orthodontic appliances is a plus
- X-ray certification is required
