Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Designer to join our team at ForrestPerkins. As a Junior Designer, you will work closely with our senior design professionals to support various projects and help bring our clients' visions to life. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the field of interior design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, color theory, and space planning.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior designers to develop design concepts and space plans.
- Assist with selecting materials, finishes, and furnishings for various projects.
- Create and modify design presentations and documentation.
- Conduct research on design trends and industry best practices.
- Assist in coordinating with vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Maintain organized design files and documentation.
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience in interior design or a related field.
- Portfolio showcasing previous design work and projects.
- Knowledge of sustainability and LEED certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes and project requirements.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
