Periodontal Center of Georgia is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Conyers, GA

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of periodontal treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care in a fast-paced dental office environment.

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment

- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs

- Take dental x-rays and CBCT images

- Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts

- Record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients

- Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist

- Maintain accurate patient records

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, 12 months required.

- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols

- Proficiency in medical documentation and Dentrix software preferred, but not required

- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including medical imaging, and vital signs

- Understanding of human anatomy and dental terminology

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
