POSITION SCOPE AND PURPOSE:

Perio Protect is a unique dental company that has created and introduced the new noninvasive “tray delivery” sector to dentistry. We are a growing company that serves 13,000 dental offices in America. We are looking for hard working adults who enjoy a fast-paced environment. The shipping clerk is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in shipments and customer service by verifying correct quantities and products on orders, keeping accurate shipping information, preparing documents, and adhering to the regulations of the Department of Transportation (DOT, IATA, and IMO) all while ensuring safety and cleanliness in all shipping areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Verify and screen orders

· Pull parts from picklist in warehouse

· Pack shipments using a pick list

· Record shipping data accurately; according to requirements

· Use Shipping software (Worldship, Ship Manager, etc.)

· Prepare required shipping documents such as: shipping labels, invoices, bills of lading

· Adhere to the regulations of DOT, IATA, IMO

· Follow all ISO standards as they apply to the department

· Keep assigned work area cleaned

· Assist with cleanliness of entire warehouse

· Use reach truck and picker after finishing required training

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to stay organized in a fast paced environment

· Must be a detailed oriented, fast paced individual

· Basic mathematical, (English) reading, writing and comprehension skills

· Must be able to communicate and understand oral instructions

· Must be able to stand, lift (up to 50lbs), and bend for an 8 hour shift

· Must be able to adapt to new processes and procedures

· Must be able to operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks

· Basic Computer Skill

_ EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:_

Education requirements: High School Diploma preferred, GED accepted.

Minimum of 3 months previous shipping or relevant experience required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a first shift Monday through Friday position in a warehouse environment with periodic overtime required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
