Perini Management Services Inc., is seekingan in-person Estimator I at our Home office in Framingham, MassachusettsAs an Estimator I at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will have the opportunity to work on unique and exciting U.S. Federal Government construction projects.Description:
  • Review project solicitation documents and perform quantity take-off
  • Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotations and distribute solicitation documents
  • Assist with and develop scope of work packages to define project work requirements
  • Assist with and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure accuracy in scope (Quantities, schedule, inclusions, exclusions, etc.)
  • Assist with and prepare subcontractor/vendor price analysis sheets
Skills:
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents
  • Good interpersonal skills including phone calls to subcontractors and vendors
  • Ability to solicit and evaluate subcontractor and/or vendor proposals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel and Word)
  • Working knowledge of take-off software a plus
  • Good organizational and analytical skills a plus
Experience:
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in the construction industry with estimating experience
  • Experience with commercial or Government projects a plus
  • Experience with a construction material supplier and quantity take-off a plus
