Perikin Enterprises is Hiring a Contract Manager AEDC Near Tullahoma, TN

Perikin Enterprises is looking for a talented contract manager to join our professional staff in Tullahoma TN. Perikin is headquartered in Albuquerque, NM and provides management, engineering, and environmental services and executes construction projects for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and other organizations. This position is in support of Perikin’s mission to provide engineering services; program, project, financial, and information management; and administrative support to Government customers.

The contract manager will perform a range of duties including negotiating contract terms, preparing contracts, evaluating bids, and providing expertise on current regulations. Ideal contract managers should enjoy drafting and editing contracts with exceptional attention to detail. In addition to being an excellent communicator, the contract manager candidate shall possess in-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract agreements, and legal/contractual terminology. This position will be Hybrid Telework (60% in office, 40% Telework).

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

The successful contract specialist candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Serves as a contract manager for corporate contract actions, as well as the three divisions of PERIKIN (Engineering, Professional Services, Construction).
  • Negotiate contract / agreements for products and services.
  • Assesses contractor and subcontractor performance to identify the need for amendments to existing contracts.
  • Prepares and edits contracts / agreements between the company and potential clients.
  • Provide contracts management oversight of all contracts supporting Government and commercial projects.
  • Assist with the identification of applicable contract and agreement vehicles to support program objectives and requirements.
  • Oversees the process of handling contract termination actions including but not limited to breach of contract or termination for convenience, and assists in negotiating settlement agreements.
  • Serves as a liaison with outside industry and government contracting representatives.
  • Develops and implements effective procurement proposals.
  • Assists in preparing responses to Government documents such as Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought (SS), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), Interagency Agreements, market research reports, etc.
  • Provides business advice and guidance to technical personnel and others on contracting work and prepares correspondence
  • Researches regulations to ensure contracts are updated and in compliance with applicable contract laws.
  • Works closely with Program Managers to interface with clients in ensuring the terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares reports and presentations as required to communicate contract performance to customers and corporate leadership.
  • Utilizes contract specialist support and appropriately and efficiently delegates tasks.
  • Oversees company property management processes for government contracts.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with bachelor’s degree in contract administration, contract law, or business administration, or relevant field -OR- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Master’s degree in contract administration, contract law, or business administration, or relevant field.
  • Possess experience in tracking multiple contracts as part of a multi-million-dollar portfolio.
  • Current Secret security clearance or eligibility for Secret clearance
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Highly proficient with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Unwavering attention to detail, exemplary work ethic, and grace under pressure
  • Ability to build positive relationships with coworkers and external organizations
  • Ability to mentor contract specialists to increase efficiency and effectiveness of contract operations
  • Demonstrated record of being proactive, self-initiating
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Must be available to workday shift M-F (~7:30am-4:00pm)

CONTRACT SPECIALIST CANDIDATE’S DESIRED QUALITIES:

  • Experience with US Government contracting actions or experience to include professional knowledge of a wide variety of Federal contracting laws and regulations, policies, processes and procedures; and contract types applicable to pre-award and post-award actions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May be required to sit for prolonged periods of time as required by job duties
  • Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements
  • Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties
  • Comprehend and adhere to staff directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions
  • Effectively communicate in Business English language
  • Carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. as required by job duties
