Summary:

The Implementation Manager is responsible for managing multiple large-scale and small-scale logistics implementation projects and all related activities of those projects. The IM will perform the following duties personally or through associated project resources and clients; all internal and external communications, project plan development, task, resource, and financial tracking, and executive status reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains project plans to include all systemic, operational, and customer requirements. Drives the tasks to ensure that each project is completed in a timely fashion and meets the company and customer expectations.
  • Provides input to the development of project management strategy and research & development of new and emerging methods.
  • Establishes and conducts progress report meetings for projects. Ensures that communication flows to all parties involved and maintains direction and order during meetings. Ensures that detail and sidebar discussions of related project topics are conducted timely and are included into the overall flow of communication once resolved.
  • Represents the interests of the company and protects the company’s image with the customer, related vendors, and external parties. Actively builds a good rapport with clients.
  • Keeps an understanding of the associated costs in mind when guiding decision-making.
  • Manages multiple projects concurrently. Reaches out to the appropriate decision-makers and task owners in a timely manner to keep tasks on track. Actively seeks to avoid delays to the progress of projects.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the physical operational tasks in relation to the projects assigned.
  • Develop an understanding of the customer needs for each project and how the stated goals fit into the customer’s business objectives. 
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of projects, including status reporting.
  • Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff resources to projects in order to accomplish project business objectives.

  • Requires advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Word 
  • High energy and self-starter. Ability to operate independently and convey a sense of urgency. 
  • Well-organized, detail oriented with excellent follow through.
  •  Problem solver, ability to think on their feet. 
  • Goal oriented and driven to succeed.
  • Honest, fair and able to build trust.

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or five (5) years of relevant PM experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • PMP, CSM, or similar project management training or certification is highly desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of PM experience
  • Previous IT or logistics experience is highly desirable

Travel Requirements:

  • Primary ‘home’ office site is remote
  • Ability to travel to Company locations by air in the US, Canada, and Mexico for multi-day implementation events that can span weekends
  • Travel frequency is variable and project dependent; unlikely to exceed 10% of overall work time
  • Work Shift and Environment:
  • Day shift, Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week. Additional hours of work may be necessary to reach urgent project and support goals.
  • Position is a member of Implementation Project Management team, and will be required to perform independently at remote sites.
  • With the exception noted above, the position is 100% remote. Applicant must be able to provide a stable and professional remote working environment with excellent internet.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

There are no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Pay Range:

$115,000-$125,000

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
