Title:Material Handler

Job Summary: We arecurrently seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our team.The Material Handler will be responsible for performing a variety of manuallabor tasks within a warehouse environment, including receiving, storing, andmoving materials, as well as preparing orders for shipment. The ideal candidatewill have experience working in a warehouse or similar environment, bephysically able to lift and move heavy objects, and have strong organizationaland communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, checking them in against purchase orders to ensure accuracy
- Store materials in designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring that they are properly labeled and organized for easy retrieval
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move materials within the warehouse
- Pull and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct products are loaded onto trucks and ready for delivery
- Conduct inventory counts and report discrepancies to management
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized, performing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment when handling materials and operating equipment
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift certification preferred but not mandatory
