Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Logistics Manager and/or Opco management in effectively managing the daily operations of inbound logistics. Controls inbound freight to produce income savings. Conducts basic analysis of work-related situations and makes decisions in an effective and timely manner. Solves freight problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some standardization exists. Performs administrative support duties to include but not limited to data and transaction entries into Transportation Management Systems (TMS), billing functions, reporting, presentations. Effectively communicates and interacts with cross functional departments. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any
duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator position will perform the following duties:

• Assists the Logistics Manager in effectively managing the entire daily operations of inbound logistics in order to acquire control of inbound freight at less than delivered price to enhance bottom line income for the company.
• Generates period-end revenue report.
• Identifies backhaul pickups that do not meet the minimum requirement for revenue.
• Identifies loads to be moved by contract carriage and schedule such move.
• Monitors accepted loads and verify that the loads were delivered on time.
• Audits carriers' freight bills to ensure they agree with carriers' confirmations.
• Coordinates with Accounting to file vendor charge-backs to orders with volumes that have been confirmed but not shipped by managed vendor.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
6 - 12 Months Logistics, transportation and/or administrative
support experience in a related area.
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 Years Logistics, transportation and/or administrative
support experience in a related area.
