About the role

We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to join our team. This role will assist our IT department in maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting our hardware and software systems. This role is a valuable opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the field. This role is expected to last through the Summer of 2024.

Position is located in Sioux Falls and is not a remote position.

What you will do

• Provide courteous assistance to end-users utilizing Performance Data Center (PDC) systems, communicating in a step-by-step manner.
• Complete daily tasks regarding workstation operations in a timely manner, including working through help desk tickets.
• Provides general and specific troubleshooting on all systems.
• Assist with management of inventory and ensuring hardware/software is accurately maintained, including the setup and distribution of new hardware.
• Adheres to all applicable policies and procedures, ensuring proper handling of any sensitive information.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will need

• Pursuing BS degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with end-users with varying levels of IT knowledge.
• Understanding of networking concepts (Ethernet, LAN/WAN dynamics) and Microsoft application management.
