Perficut is Hiring a Landscape Maintenance Crew Member - DSM Near Des Moines, IA

Position Overview

We are currently seeking individuals who are ready and willing to join our winning team. We have many career opportunities and are excited to share our passion for success with you! This is an hourly seasonal position in the Landscape Maintenance Department. Crew Members work as a team and report to the Crew Leader and Production Manager.

Day-to-Day Stuff

Perform work requested by the supervisor, in the timeframe requested, to the level of professionalism expected by members of Team Perficut
Mow, trim, edge turf areas and blow off hard surfaces/structures, landscape maintenance
Adhere to quality and safety standards
Demonstrate willingness to learn how to operate equipment and tools needed to perform daily tasks
Communicate effectively with supervisor and crew members
Record worked hours accurately
Other duties as assigned

Characteristics Needed to Succeed

Valid driver’s license and the ability to be added onto company’s insurance policy is preferred
Obtain Commercial Pesticide Applicators Certification 3OT within 90 days of hire
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Prior experience helpful but not required
Demonstrated ability to process and follow instructions
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team
Ability to learn how to use tools and equipment meeting operational safety standards
Ability to understand and carry out verbal or written instructions
Must be able to work in a safety aware environment
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
Regular and prompt attendance required
Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed

Frequent standing and walking
Frequent lifting and carrying weights up to 50 lbs.
Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping
Frequent operation of equipment
Ability to hear, corrected to normal
Ability to communicate and follow instructions
Ability to generate up to 125 lbs. of push/pull force to maneuver various equipment/supplies
Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work outside in all types of weather conditions; conditions include occasional extreme heat exposure due to natural climate. The noise level in each work environment will vary and could sporadically be loud.
