Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an SAP Commerce Dev Lead in our national Commerce Practice. This is a remote opportunity.
Job Overview:
The SAP Commerce Dev Lead is responsible for guiding the development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions in alignment with business needs and timelines. This role involves overseeing the project's technical aspects, from design through implementation, ensuring best practices and performance standards are met. The Dev Lead will work closely with other leaders to strategize on project approaches, contribute to the technical roadmap, and ensure the team's professional growth. Responsibilities also include code review, risk management, and active participation in development when necessary.

  • Lead and mentor the development team, ensuring coding best practices are followed.
  • Oversee the technical design and implementation of SAP Commerce solutions.
  • Offer technical guidance and expertise to clients on SAP Commerce initiatives.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of software releases.
  • Ensure code quality through regular code reviews and by enforcing development standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Keep up-to-date with SAP Commerce updates and industry best practices.
  • Monitor application performance and address potential scalability issues.
  • Guide the team in adopting modern technology stacks that align with project goals.
  • Collaborate with the team to innovate and improve system functionality and stability.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in SAP Commerce development.
  • Proven track record in leading development teams and delivering software projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead projects from an architectural standpoint.
  • SAP Certified Development Professional Certification preferred.
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies and headless commerce architectures.
  • Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore and near shore teams.
  • Experience with authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
  • Experience working with B2B and B2C projects in SAP Commerce.
  • Familiarity with SAP Commerce Backoffice and Hybris Admin Console (HAC).
  • Knowledge of Assisted Service Module (ASM) in SAP Commerce.
  • Proficiency in Jira
  • Experience with Confluence for team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Understanding of Splunk for log analysis and operational intelligence.
  • Familiarity with OpenSearch for search and analytics.
  • Experience with JMeter for performance testing (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Dynatrace for application performance monitoring (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
