Summary:

Journeyman Service Plumber is a hard-working, self-motivated individual with plumbing experience and a

Journeyman plumbing certification. Installs, maintains, and repairs residential and small commercial equipment.

This individual must also be reliable, have the able to manage time and scheduling, be able to communicate

clearly, and have a great attitude.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Proficient in residential plumbing service and small commercial/industrial.

• A recognized expert in multiple areas of plumbing service.

• Maintain open communication with company staff and customers in a professional manner.

• Understand and efficiently use basic computer hardware and software.

• Maintain a clean, safe driving record.

• Passionate about contributing as an individual and loves winning as a team.

• Transportation to and from job sites or the shop located in Garden City, ID.

• Provides own hand tools (handout provided upon hire).

• Practices and comprehends safe work procedures per company policy.

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and other systems.

• Install supports before the installation of pipes, equipment, and fixtures.

• Identify and locate leaks.

• Performing cutting, welding, and assembling of pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.

• A thorough inspection and testing of plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.

• Professional handling of customers plumbing requests.

• Collaboration with contractors, construction workers, and electricians to meet plumbing requirements.

• Review building plans and inspect them to assess material and equipment needs.

Requirements:

• Must maintain valid Journeyman card and have it on your person during all work hours.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Must be capable of following instructions, have good communication skills, and the ability to retain

information.

• Must be capable of identifying materials used in the trade.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Enforces safety and work performance standards and regulations.

• Adheres to company core values.

Work Environment:

Work environment may vary depending on the type of job; work may be indoors or outdoors. May require

prolonged standing in cramped or uncomfortable positions often working with hands over head. Journeyman

Plumber may work in a wide variety of environments from clean to dusty, dirty, hot, cold, and wet conditions,

or in confined areas, ditches, or other uncomfortable spaces. The work environment varies with each job.

Journeyman Plumber must follow strict safety procedures to prevent injuries, falls and cuts. Additionally,

depending on the nature of the work required by a supervisor, one in this role may work in an office

environment where filing paperwork processing and computer work be required.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

• Regularly required to work around operating equipment, work in confined spaces, stand for long periods

of time, walk, reach, stoop, crawl, twist, bend and climb ladders.

Safety:

This position is safety sensitive and drug free, must adhere by the company’s Employee Handbook and Safety

Manual. Due to the nature of the trade, Perfect Plumbing, Heating and Air participates in a reasonable

suspicion drug/substance screening process designed to meet our commitment of being a drug free organization.

The company reserves the right to require its employees to present themselves for testing immediately

following a work-related incident.

This position may be required to drive a company vehicle or drive a personal vehicle on company business

and therefore must adhere to the company’s Employee Handbook and Safety Manual including the

requirements indicated on the Fleet Policy. State Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) will be used as the source

for verifying driver history at time of employment and at least annually thereafter. Driving privileges may be

withdrawn or suspended for any authorized driver not meeting the listed requirements. In addition,

appropriate disciplinary action may be taken. The standard for reviewing MVRs is as follows: New drivers

may not be hired with a borderline or poor rating and driving records must remain acceptable or clear to

remain on the qualified drivers list.

Travel:

Some travel may be required.
