Perenn Bakery is Hiring a Procurement Manager Near Reno, NV

Butter Salt’s mission is to create a gathering place that intentionally empowers education, care and sustainability through the sharing of thoughtfully crafted food.

A day in the life of a Procurement Manager might look like:

  • Lead and manage the procurement process for perishable and non-perishable products, ensuring a reliable and diverse supply chain
  • Collaborate with vendors, negotiate pricing, and optimize sourcing strategies to meet customer demand and drive business growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies for perishable and non-perishable products while considering market trends, customer preferences, and cost efficiency
  • Work closely with Back of House, Front of House, Grocery, and Operations teams to optimize the end-to-end supply chain, from procurement to distribution
  • Stay informed about market trends and industry developments, providing insights to support decision-making
  • Forecast product demand accurately and ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Work closely with Back of House, Front of House, Grocery, and Operations teams to align procurement strategies with overall business goals
  • Regularly evaluate the performance of vendors and the procurement process and make necessary adjustments when appropriate
  • Categorize invoices and purchases appropriately in Quickbooks to help analyze cost trends involving perishable and non-perishable products
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate for this position has the following qualities:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus)
  • Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, or related roles within the grocery industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
