Job Description:
Percheron is currently looking for an experienced Land Professional that is local to the Houston Texas.
Must be willing to work without per diem in Houston Texas on a 5-day work week.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Land and Right of Way profession; and/or equivalent experience in dealing with real estate issues, landowners, engineers, developers, and/or local, state and federal agencies.
• Knowledge or experience in ArcGIS preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and alignment sheets
• AA, BA or BS degree, with business administration, law, communications or public relations emphasis is preferred.
• Must have strong communication and organization skills, interface and deal effectively with all levels of personnel and people, and maintain effective work relations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced work environment, be flexible and able to adapt to changes in work activities.
• Process work rapidly and accurately, set priorities, work under pressure and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
• Detail-oriented to ensure consistent data and record-keeping, and to maintain consistent quality in legal documents and letters.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of five years of experience in the Right of Way industry with at least three years working in the capacity of an Office Agent.
• Good understanding of applicable laws, rules, regulations, Right of way policies, procedures, terminology, and Right of way/real property acquisition policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
• Thorough understanding of various land-related contracts and agreements for construction, operation, and maintenance of existing and new facilities, including but not limited to, fee simple, rights-of-way, leases, temporary workspace agreements, licenses, permits, ordinances, and franchise agreements.
• Proficient experience with acquisition & relocation documents, notices, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to plan and organize workload, adjust to changing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Ability to complete right-of-way transactions independently.
• Ability to interpret alignment sheets and plats.
• Must be proficient in land title research.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be customer-focused.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with others.
• Exercises good judgment and has experience handling confidential information.
