JOB DESCRIPTION

The Right of Way Entry Level must have an understanding of right of way projects and/or electric transmission operations, timelines, and project requirements.

  • Scan documents as received, upload them into the document management system and enter data into appropriate database system(s) with close attention to how documents affect the project.
  • Prepare various letters for mailout, including Introductory Letters, Survey Notification, Survey Permission, Environmental Survey Notification, and others.
  • Works closely under the supervision to perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights.
  • Generates easement rights, damage claims, and access issues and utilize the best judgment in functioning as a liaison.
  • Under direct supervision, review third-party development plans and relevant right of way records (i.e. easements, permits, etc.) to determine conflicts and resolve them.
  • Familiarize with company and client policies, procedures, and processes to perform work.
  • Perform land title research under direct supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Less than a minimum of one year of experience in Right of Way and Permitting experience is a plus.
•Basic understanding of various legal documents required for the project (ie., land-related contracts and agreements for construction, operation, and maintenance of existing and new facilities, including but not limited to, fee simple, rights-of-way, leases, temporary workspace agreements, licenses, permits, ordinances and franchise agreements)
•General experience in the investigation of survey permission, acquisition, and title research.
•Limited knowledge about property valuation, survey drawings, and alignment sheets.
•Exercises good judgment and has experience handling confidential information.
•Must of strong oral and written communication skills and be customer focused.
•Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
•Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
•Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily. 
•Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with the manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
•Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
