JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an office position based out of our Katy, TX corporate HQ location; the candidate will be working primarily indoors, however on occasion will be required to make trips into the field, attend client related meetings, and other industry events. Other duties include occasional field work/support, maintaining equipment (aircraft, sensors, and accessories), communicating with the FAA when applicable, applying for FAA waivers and COA’s, completing various reports as well as other office work. 

•Prior project coordination/project management experience
•FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107)
•Experience using autonomous flight/mission planning software.
•Experience with commercial UAS operations under Part 107 or equivalent related experience
•18 years or older
•Proficient in English language
•Good verbal communication skills
•Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams/SharePoint, etc.)
•Adobe (Acrobat, Premiere Pro/Rush, Photoshop, etc.) 
•Video editing skills 
•Ability to work with limited supervision and to collaborate fully as a team player.
•Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
•Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily. 
•Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
•Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
•This is an office position; the candidate will be working primarily indoors, however on occasion will be required to make trips into the field, attend client-related meetings, and other industry events. 
•Motivated, self-starter with strong critical thinking skills and interpersonal skills. 
•Occasional weekend work and overnight travel will be required at times.
•A valid driver’s license is required for this position and an acceptable driving record.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
•Prior experience with UAS operations under FAA Part 107
•Prior experience writing FAA waiver requests.
•Prior experience with maintaining aviation logs and records.
•Knowledge of photography/videography and experience using a DSLR cameras and/or thermal cameras
•Knowledge of aerial LiDAR and processing
•Knowledge of Photogrammetry
•Experience and/or knowledge of surveying

•Facilitate hazard identification and safety risk analysis.
•Coordinate flight schedules, logistics, FAA airspace approvals, and maintenance.
•Perform field maintenance and preventive maintenance on aircraft, sensors, and support equipment as needed.
•Plan missions as needed with various flight control software (DJI, Litchi, Ardupilot, Mission Planner, UGCS etc.)
•Data QA/QC.
•Upload data deliverables to the appropriate location on Client/Company FTP sites
•Assist the Aerial Services Director with the project estimate and bidding process.
•Assist the Aerial Services Director with project management of aerial projects.
•Manage the Aerial department logs and records not limited to but including pilot logs, training logs, maintenance logs, certifications, etc.
•Track and manage Aerial Services Department aircraft and equipment.
•Assist with department data management and archival process.
•Assist with writing department white papers and creating other department materials.
•Assist with identifying new technology within the UAS and remote sensing industry and it’s relevance to our business.
•Assist with coordination with vendors for equipment and services.
•Organize and deliver data deliverables to our clients both internal and external.
•Facilitate hazard identification and safety risk analysis.
