Peraton is seeking a Tier 2 Network Administrator in support of a communication system for the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. This exciting program provides Engineering and Operations for the continual design, transition, operations, and service improvement activities associated with the LAN, WAN, and Unified Communication services (Voice, Video, & Data) on multiple classified and unclassified networks.

The Tier 2 Network Admin responsibilities include:

• Perform System patching and IAVA patches to network routers and switches.
• Conduct approved minor network changes (vlan, ACL and port assignment)
• Perform IOS and Software upgrades
• Perform switch and router installs, upgrades to ensure smooth operations of the enterprise.
• Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations.
• Troubleshoot systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
• Support site survey and engineering designs data calls.
• Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
• Works independently with some supervision.
• Problems faced are difficult, will require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems. You will employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience.
• Perform Network ticket resolution.
• Support Network Ticket closure across Network OPS staff to include:
• Completes initial categorization of Service Requests (type, sub-type, location, device priority, etc)
• Use administrative access to the network to provision new switches, routers, VLANs and Crypto
• Use administrative acess to network components to research errors, incidents, problems and to perform incident analysis and identify potential problems
• Routing Service Requests to appropriate organization required for indcident resolution
• Perform roo cause analyses
• May configure, deploy, manage, and maintain UC monitoring systems used by the technicians to ensure availability and overall performance of system and services.

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI or ability to pass Polygraph examination
• High School/GED 9 Yrs, or Associates 7 Yrs, or Bachelors 5 Yrs, or Masters 3 Yrs, or PhD 0
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II Certification
• Experience utilizing trouble ticket systems like ServiceNow
• Excellent customer service, writing and oral communication skills
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of LAN/WAN and Unified Communication (UC) technology, tools and services.
• Demonstrated experience as a Network Administrator in a Network Operations center environment
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
