Responsibilities Peraton is seeking qualified Software Engineers to support an Intelligence Community (IC) mission in the Chantilly, VA areas. Responsibilities may include: * Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
* Works individually or as part of a team.
* Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
* Resolves software problem reports.
* Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
* Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/ software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.Benefits: Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan. * Experience in: LINUX/UNIX; C, C or Java; PERL, PYTHON, or BASH; Agile Software Development
* Container and container orchestration experience
* Experience with Virtual Machines
* Experience with K8, Helm, Puppet and Rocky8
* Experience with Linux and/or Unix
* Experience with High-speed, distributed processing application development
* Active TS SCI Security clearance with a current polygraph is required
Target Salary Range $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
