Peraton is Hiring a Human Resources Business Partner, Advisor Near Reston, VA

Responsibilities

The Peraton HR Team is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner who will support Corporate functions. Key HR business partner support will include talent management, performance management/employee relations, and engagement activities. Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees. Independently conducts employee relations investigations and counseling. Implements employee retention initiatives. The ideal candidate will be viewed as a trusted partner who is responsive, consultative, and collaborative in driving win-win solutions. 

Additional background and experience required for this role includes, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic thinking – sees the big picture and connects the dots; also dives into the details as necessary
  • Ability to spearhead HR initiatives (can start with a blank sheet, design a plan/program/process, and execute on a timeline)
  • Strong relationship building skills; proven track record of building collaborative partnerships across functions
  • Strong consulting skills: able to dissect the root cause or core problem to solve and bring appropriate solutions and resources to bear
  • Strong analytical skills; able to leverage technology to manipulate data and draw conclusions
  • Facilitate positive employee and leadership relationship
  • Work with confidential information and communicate with team members with appropriate discretion to their role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key employment laws
  • Experience with process documentation and/or automation

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years with Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or related field
  • Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experienced in conducting complex EEO / ER investigations 
  • Ability to safeguard sensitive material
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to work from Reston, VA location as needed; typically one day a week
  • Government contracting experience desired.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
