Peraton is Hiring a Facilities Liaison / Project Manager Near Washington, DC

Peraton is seeking a Facilities Liaison/Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) in maintaining its information technology (IT) enterprise infrastructure.

Proposal - estimate win time 4th Qtr 2024

Remote role. Must be local to the DC Metro area.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, environmental at Data Center facility. Also Manages’ a smart hands team that provides technical assistance to computer system and network users, or other technical products and services hosted at the data center.
  • Coordinates with building contractors and ensures building safety and adherence to applicable building codes.
  • Plans utilization of space and facilities at Data Center consistent with requirements for efficiency, and available facilities and funds
  • Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes, proposed operating budgets established, and recommended financial terms/conditions of contract are identified. Keeps in compliance with and abreast of all OSHA regulations.
  • Manages and implements energy management/utility consumption improvement programs. Performs environmental hazard management/planning and remediation. Establishes and maintains equipment and system standards. Explores and solicits alternative options for products and services to maintain high standards at Data Center and opportunities to reduce Data Center budgetary expenses.
  • Oversees construction and renovation projects to improve efficiency and to ensure that Data Center meet environmental, health, and security standards, and comply with government regulations. Implements policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected. Ensures maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet Service Level Agreements. Establishes objectives and directs staff activities to improve smart hands support practices in the areas of quality, knowledge centered support and resolution timeframes. Coordinates customer service activities with other internal functions.
  • Manages personnel activities of staff (i.e., hires, trains, schedules, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as necessary, etc.), Utilize existing tools to manage the data center critical infrastructure, loading dock, and IT raised floor spaces.
  • Follows International Standards Organization (ISO) practices and develops quality initiatives to improve efficiencies with documentation updates. Prepares monthly cross charge billing to account teams. Evolve understanding of work load placement initiatives and asset management for the Data Center.
  • Assist with preparation and monitors annual Data Center budget. Looks for opportunities to save on budgetary line items and follows guidelines for approval authority of expenses.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of professional experience
  • 7 years of experience in project and program management
  • U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • A minimum of five 5 years managing IT projects and programs within a multi-time zone, multi-facility enterprise.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Proficiency in managing utilizing DevOps concepts.
  • Proven experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders and vendors accountable for delivering interrelated services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
