Peraton is Hiring a Remote Disaster Recovery Coordinator, Senior

Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing total level contingency plans for system software, hardware, and applications for the organization and/or customer. Implements procedures to ensure business applications continue to function through disruptive incidents within an organization. Develops and maintains various security controls to protect technology assets from internal or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction. Provides reports regarding effectiveness of data security and makes recommendations for the adoption of new procedures. May oversee and facilitate the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan. Responsible for ensuring the business resumption plan adequately addresses the organization’s requirements and established timeframes. Responsible for day-to-day security administration of the organization or client’s data systems and data networks, including systems access administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Disaster Recovery planning/COOP support.
  • Maintain a current Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
  • Plan, lead, and conduct live Disaster Recovery and test tabletop exercises.
  • Update Disaster Recovery procedures with the lessons learned from DR test execution.
  • Update Disaster Recovery scenarios to reflect network changes and test as needed.
  • In the event of a declared disaster, execute and coordinate disaster recovery procedures per business service-specific disaster recovery plan.
  • In the event of a declared disaster, support the organization in the execution of the COOP.
  • Maintain a Crisis Management Plan for management of catastrophic incidents in response to a natural or manmade disaster, to include an Emergency Contact List with contact information for the Contractor, other Contractors, and USAID management staff and other key individuals that are the most knowledgeable of systems including OCONUS SMs and EXOs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • An active SECRET or the ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 – 11 years, master’s degree with 6 - 9 years, or PhD with 3 – 6 years; four (4) years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to do what is needed to achieve learning goals.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate with individuals at many different levels from within and from outside of the organization.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
