Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to augment the existing Foundations team located here in Laurel, MD. The Cloud Software Engineer will work with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure.

This position has on-call work.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
• Five (5) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience doing Linux administration on large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters
• Possess skills of Linux, Python/Bash, Configuration Management Software (Salt, Puppet or Ansible) and have some experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• On call ability as needed
