MBSE Space Systems Engineer III LV8D Solutions is looking for a Space Systems Engineer III who is excited about space-based communication systems and supporting ground infrastructure, has a strong desire to learn advanced Model-Based Systems Engineering techniques, and is prepared to serve as a technical member of a dynamic team providing full lifecycle, end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services! Qualifications: Education / Experience: • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or • Master’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience • BS or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, operations research, engineering management, or STEM degree program Clearance: • TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Requirements / Responsibilities: • Collaborate with other engineers to develop end-to-end models of complex systems to include architecture and behavior of the system using Systems Modeling Language (SysML) • Identify and implement modern digital engineering solutions to complex problems and processes • Develop System Architecture Model (SAM) to be sufficiently precise and complete to serve as the authoritative source of truth for all engineering processes involved in the system project • Assist with System Requirements Closure through the conduct of Systems Engineering Lifecycle Readiness Reviews and System Engineering Technical Reviews • Facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPT’s) and Engineering working groups that will review and assess the maturity of engineering Artifacts, CONOPS, Interfaces, and Architecture products • Assist with decision support and technical consultation, meeting coordination, and leading the development of initial recommendations for Government decision-makers • Familiarity with industry space-based communication capabilities • Understanding of basic Model-Based Systems Engineering concepts • Professional Communication skills • Desired qualifications: o Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, Sparx, Core o Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML) o Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence o Experience with the Intelligence Community.
