We are looking for a Junior Cloud Security Engineer to work in enterprise cyber security operations environment designing and integrating cloud security solutions, assisting in incident response activities, and working on cyber security projects and tasks. The right candidate will have knowledge of security principles, experience in writing scripts to accomplish security-related tasks, and be familiar with integrating security into the DevOps lifecycle.

A week in the life of the Junior Cloud Security Engineer

• Implement and maintain security solutions in SaaS and IaaS environments
• Write scripts to incorporate security into the DevOps lifecycle, including leveraging AI to improve security
• Work with the SOC team to respond to security incidents
• Investigate security alerts and event logs to identify root cause and mitigation plans
• Evaluate security solutions to determine best fit and see them through deployment phase
• Manage tasks and projects, track progress, and report on them

• Experience working in information security operations
• Experience in writing scripts to automate security tasks and integrate various cloud solutions, preferably in Microsoft cloud environments
• Solid understanding of security operations and compliance environment with experience in managing multiple tasks, reporting to management, and driving security initiatives within the IT group
• Off-hours support on as-needed basis
• US Citizenship and capable of getting a clearance

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
