Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for systematical identification and freeing up of inefficiencies of A&M spend in the frame of Marketing Transformation project.

This includes providing A&M expertise in mapping of existing Media and A&M spending processes in the BU, leading brand deep dives with local teams, comparing A&M spending vs external and internal benchmarking, identifying inefficiencies in A&M spend, developing hypothesis for driving efficiency and right sizing of A&M spend in the BU.

Together with BU Marketing team, this person co-leads development of portfolio of A&M optimisation initiatives and establishing A&M spending frameworks, processes and ways of working to ensure sustained A&M optimisation and right-sizing in the BU.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for A&M spend process mapping and developing proposal for A&M efficiency and right sizing optimisation in the frame of GBS leadership of Diagnose stage of Marketing ransformation project in 15 markets during 2023 - 2024.
  • Work with GBS Analysts and GBS Marketing Transformation project manager in developing BU A&M spend cube from raw data.
  • Provides A&M expertise in mapping of existing A&M spending processes in the BU, comparing vs external and internal benchmarking and expert set of analysis.
  • Leads brand deep dives with local BU marketing teams during Mareketing Transformation Diagnose stage in order to map existing processes and identify potential productivity opportunities.
  • Identifies inefficiencies in working and non-working A&M spend, develops hypothesis for driving efficiency and right sizing of A&M spend in the BU. Apply identified set of proven high-impact levers to size opportunity.
  • Identify above-market opportunities and channel to the right teams/functions to deliver (incl. GBS-driven opportunities)
  • Maintain, further develop, and share the toolkit of proven levers/initiatives across markets
  • Provides recommendations on GBS service catalogue leverage in the BU and work with Sector GBS Design leads /Sector PMO in understanding size of the prize and resourcing requirements.
  • Together with project manager and GBS Marketing Transformation Director co-leads development of portfolio of A&M optimisation initiatives and ensures support during Deliver stage of the project.
  • Co-leads development and alignment of ambitious but realistic A&M efficiency target for the BU.
  • Establishes A&M spending frameworks, processes and ways of working, agency roster to ensure sustained A&M optimisation and right-sizing in the BU.
  • Work with external consultants (McKinsey team) ensuring marketing Transformation Diagnose knowledge transfer to GBS team. Co-shadow 2023 projects codifying learnings for A&M process mapping capability.
  • Leads internal capability building effort in A&M process mapping to enable PepsiCo to drive Marketing transformation projects independently from H2 2023 and developing sustainable solutions for the BU in the long term.
  • Own deploying the necessary tools and processes to make change stick, building continuous productivity management
  • Lead the team of Marketing Transformation A&M Process experts (3 FTE in 2023 and 5 FTE in 2024), focusing on building a high-performing team, coaching and developing each individual to grow and realise their potential, whilst recruiting and retaining best-in-class talent

Qualifications

  • 10 years in marketing at an FMCG company; Media agency management (5 years) is a must
  • Diverse experience across multiple operations and geographic locations (corporate, field, cross functional, developed and emerging markets)
  • Proven track record in managing large scale marketing spends optimisation, developing new policies and ways of working
  • Knowledge of PepsiCo A&M processes, agency landscape and spend is preferable
  • Understanding of Marketing Procurement process is a plus
  • Building internal capability and processes from scratch
  • Supporting others’ professional growth by providing valuable feedback, coaching, and leveraging more formal development tools and processes
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English language
