Purpose of Job: To ensure efficient and error-free operation of production and building equipment. Ordering, receiving, and tracking purchases for production equipment. Provides break and PTO relief support for Production Operators, ensuring high levels of filler uptime and delivering specified product quantities to packaging.

Job Duties:

  • Orders and receives parts into inventory while maintaining accurate inventory levels. Updates CMMS system and SAP as required.
  • Administers preventative maintenance and work order programs for production machinery.
  • Schedules contractors and reconciles P-card transactions.
  • Operates production machinery, including filler and packaging machinery, at rated speeds while minimizing downtime.
  • Performs size and flavor changeovers, maintains a clean work area and equipment, and conducts preventative maintenance on production machinery.
  • Communicates with line leads, supervisors, and maintenance techs regarding operational issues and status.
  • Interfaces with and operates Allen Bradley PLC Controllers for Volumetric fillers.
  • Monitors pressure settings to minimize breakage and confers with mechanics to correct mechanical/electrical malfunctions.
  • Coordinates delivery of raw materials and products to the filler for production based on production schedules.
  • Inspects raw materials for damage, correct flavors, and colors, ensuring no mixing of full goods during flavor changeovers.
  • Performs normal and emergency shutdowns of equipment, handling high-speed fillers as required.
  • Conducts clinistix testing on non-sugar products and sensory testing on all products produced to ensure product quality.
  • Inputs coding dates and verifies coding for all products.
  • Gathers counter information and downtime data to enter into the OEE system or production reports.
  • Performs changeovers and sets up filler for different production types.
  • Monitors oPRP of ozone during specific production to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintains a clean work area and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years of previous manufacturing experience required.
  • Six months of previous filler operations and Allen Bradley PLC controller experience required.
  • Knowledge and operation of beverage filling equipment preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be good with numbers and have good organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
