Position: Warehouse Associate

Location: Salisbury, MD

Pay: $16/hr

Experience: 6 months of forklift experience required; knowledge of changing propane tanks is preferred

Education: High school diploma or GED

Schedule: First Shift, starting time of 4 a.m.

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Verifies accuracy and quality of products that are received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers
• Performs all check-in/check-out duties assigned and maintains proper records for each individual task according to the warehouse standard operating procedures
• Counts goods returned to the plant that are damaged, full and/or empty
• Safely and efficiently operates the yard switcher and automatic/straight trucks for loading/unloading
• Interacts with automation systems, voice pick system and paper pick tickets to verify and record product in proper order to ensure accurate load outs and inventory counts
• Identifies machine faults, troubleshoots, corrects system errors/issues and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems
• Safely and efficiently operates warehouse and material handling machinery; performing all required safety on assigned machinery
• Performs janitorial tasks as necessary in designated work area to maintain a clean and organized space
• Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Security and other food safety rules and guidelines

Position Requirements:

• Computer/Human Machine Interface skills
• Mechanical aptitude with sorting and grouping skills
• Good math, reading, writing and communication skills
• Read and understand the difference in product labels and load ticket instructions
• Efficiently count large quantities of products and materials
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
