Job Summary: The Groton Hill Woodland Host is responsible for greeting guests, escorting customers to their dining area, and understanding the flow of the restaurant. For this role, solid organizational and customer service skills are essential to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service:

- Greet guests, assist with seating arrangements, and ensure a positive initial impression.

- Maintain a high level of service quality, communicating any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to the manager.

- Maintain awareness of table availability and pacing for walk-ins to prevent overbooking or limited food overage issues.

Presentation & Atmosphere:

- Ensure the dining area is clean, well-organized, and properly set up according to the restaurant's standards before guests arrive.

- Uphold a positive and upbeat attitude towards guests and fellow employees.

- Dress in correct attire according to staff dress code.

Menu Knowledge:

- Stay familiar with the menu offerings, including specials, ingredients, and any dietary restrictions.

Qualifications:

- Strong communication skills.

- Consistently punctual.

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.

- Solution oriented.

- Knowledge of restaurant operations.

- Familiarity with food and beverage offerings and the ability to make recommendations.

- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
