Position Purpose:

The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing all levels of systems support to staff. Install computer software and support day-to-day administrative tasks at all Tribal locations. They will also perform routine maintenance on servers and network hardware.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide network systems support to the Tribe staff.

· Assist in deploying, installing, and operating, automated data processing and telecommunications systems during training, exercises, and management operations.

· Provide technical support to assist the Tribe staff with computer problems.

· Perform tech-level functions, installation of software, virus patches, upgrades, and other daily maintenance procedures.

· Provide hands-on system tech support, system maintenance, training, exercises, and operations support of all servers. These include Windows servers, SQL databases, internet web servers, and associated applications.

· Configure, Update, and Manage Servers in a Virtual Environment.

· Support the operation and maintenance of Switches, Firewalls, VLANs, and other Network Technologies.

· Assist in the performance of basic day-to-day system administration tasks.

· Assist in the management of the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches, and resolution of software-related issues.

· Provide onboarding Team Members with a complete IT package including email, computer, phone, printer, etc. for the office.

· Perform system backups and recovery.

· Provide general troubleshooting on network systems.

· Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.

· Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed Tribe’s internal control policies and practices.

· Providing the highest level of Customer Service to all Team Members.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

· Demonstrated experience in installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading MS Windows operating systems.

· Experience in multiple PC hardware platforms and supporting MS Office products.

· Provide network-level maintenance and troubleshooting in a business environment.

· High School Diploma with two (2) years of related experience.

· A , Net , Security and CCNA Certifications are a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

· Interact professionally with other team members, customers, and suppliers.

· Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.

· Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations.

Certifications:

· Valid Driver’s License and Insurance.

Work Requirements:

Position involves prolonged sitting, standing, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying 30 pounds on a daily basis. Work is generally performed in an office environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
