Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Daily Responsibilities :

• Supervises Shipping & Receiving Department staff, ensuring compliance with policies and laws. Responsibilities include training, task delegation, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
• Assist Shipping and Receiving Manager with inventory control, scheduling, and order validation, utilizing UPS and FedEx software.
• Determine shipment placement and routing, ensuring compliance with legal load limits and purchasing policies.
• Track pick-ups, deliveries, and dock appointments, providing status reports to management.
• Oversee loading operations, inspecting for compliance with specifications and maintaining load balance.
• Monitor equipment for defects, coordinating repairs as needed.
• Ensure accurate tracking and recording of returned / damaged goods and direct movement of shipments.
• Maintain records of unfilled orders, post shipping charges, and prepare bills of lading.
• Lead and standardize warehouse procedures, communicating with management and other departments to achieve goals and address issues promptly.
• Adapt job duties based on company needs.
