- Schedule:
- Alternating Swing Shift (Mon thru Fri, one week working daylight 7:00am-3:00pm, then one week working afternoon 3:00pm-11:00pm in an alternating weekly pattern). When working on the Afternoon turn, workers receive a 30 cents an hour differential. The Swing shift is one week daylight, one week afternoon in a continuous pattern.
- Compensation: $19.00/hr
- Potential for Overtime/ Occasional Mandatory Overtime Required
Your Role:
- Clad - assembling the sheet metal which is fed into a mill to bond the layers of sheets into one; conditioning the sheet metal to end up perfectly flat so the machines can stamp out discs ("blanks") out of the sheets.
- Forming - running hydraulic presses (to form the product); running hilite machines (to condition the lip/rim/interior of the product); inspecting the rough form of the product to identify any marks or defects and rework the pieces if needed.
- Finishing - operating large buffing machines to polish the cookware; dry hiliting the cookware pieces; feeding the pieces onto a conveyor that conditions the exterior of the product.
- Assembly - folding cardboard to create boxes; riveting on the handles of the pots/pans; inspecting and bagging up the cookware; packing and stacking the boxes onto skids in specific order.
Most of our labor jobs require lifting and frequent manual handling of material and product. Not all of our laborers run machinery, but if so you will receive on-the-job training on proper and accurate set-ups/adjustments for the settings on the machinery.
Your Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Reliability in commuting to and from plant location in the Southpointe area of Canonsburg PA required (we are NOT on a bus line).
- Must be available to work mandatory overtime when scheduled; it is announced prior to the upcoming production week (OT is typically scheduled as EITHER working 4-10s Mon-Thu the 8 hr Fri, OR working 6-8s Mon-Sat). MUST be available for Saturdays.
- Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment 10-panel urinalysis drug screen, breath alcohol test, a one-hour physical test and a thorough criminal background check.
- Prior manufacturing production labor experience is preferred but NOT required.
