Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent automotive manufacturer in the Vance, AL area, is seeking forklift operators to join their team! This is a climate-controlled facility offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing!
Forklift Operator Job Summary:
1. Pay: $17 an hour
2. Shifts Available:
1. 1st Shift: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
1. Operate forklift
2. Meet daily goals through teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives
3. Perform all tasks and assignments in a safe and timely manner
4. Ensure equipment and workstations are cleaned daily
5. Support and communicate with Team Leaders on a daily basis
6. Maintain housekeeping to 5S standards
7. Participate in team and safety meetings and promote safety within the workplace
8. Support company values and goals to establish a world class organization
9. Cross train in other jobs as needed to fulfill production demands
10. Comply with all safety rules and guidance, as well as report all recognized hazards
11. Maintain good attendance in compliance with the Attendance & Punctuality Policy
12. All other duties as assigned
13. Read a tape measure accurately
14. Production environment
15. Traversing around production floor
16. Standing for long periods of time
17. Repetitive motions
18. Lifting up to 30 lbs.
19. Overtime and weekend work as needed
Forklift Operator Qualifications:
1. Proof of High School Diploma or GED is required
2. Good verbal and written communication skills
3. Basic math skills - fractions & decimals
4. Attention to detail and ability to detect quality defects
5. Ability to learn new tasks quickly and follow detailed work instructions
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
