People Source is Hiring a Sheet metal mechanic Near Wichita Falls, TX
People Source we are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal work, including fabrication, assembly, and installation of HVAC ductwork and related components. Responsibilities :
- Installing and fabricating ductwork and cold boxes using hand and power tools.
- Cutting, punching, and threading sheet metal using power saws, drill presses, hand and power shears, pan and box brakes, and cleat benders and rollers
- Fastening joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last
- Install and secure ducts, vents, grilles, and other components to ensure proper air circulation and distribution throughout buildings.
- Installing assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, rain gutters and furnace casings in supportive frameworks
- Insulate ductwork and HVAC equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
- Securing metal roof panels in place by interlocking and fastening grooved panel edges.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 yrs Experience as HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a relevant HVAC apprenticeship program or vocational training is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and guidelines, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members, contractors, and clients.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
