The general labor position serves as the foundational entry position at the foundry. PeopleReady of Lima is now hiring Foundry Helpers for a position in St. Marys! At the foundry, you won't just melt and mold metal; you'll craft masterpieces that tell stories, capture history, and push the boundaries of what's possible in metalwork. This foundry is a sanctuary of creativity where molten metal is transformed into works of art. We're seeking a Foundry Associate who is dedicated, willing to learn the art of metalwork, and seeking the great environment of a family owned and operated company.

What you'll be doing as a Foundry Associate:

• Responsible for operating machinery and equipment used in the casting process
• Prepare and set up molds for casting
• Load and unload raw materials and molds
• Monitor and maintain the proper operation of furnaces and other equipment
• Perform quality checks on finished products and make adjustments as necessary
• Remove finished castings from mold
• Inspect finished castings for defects or imperfections
• Use various measuring instruments to check dimensions and quality
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
