People Management is Hiring a Life Skills and Wellness Service Manager Near Red Bank, NJ

Position Summary:

The Life Skills Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities of program-related service delivery of the Life Skills, Alliance for Success and Health and Wellness Programs. Providing direct supervision and support, the Life Skills Program Manager will ensure operational readiness, efficiency, and participant outcomes. The Life Skills Program Manager is primarily responsible for the duties and responsibilities relating to the Life Skills Program and will provide oversight and supervision to the AFS & H&W staff. Specific responsibilities are outlined below:

Essential Job Functions:

● Support day-to-day planning and implementation of Programs within Lunch Break’s Life Skills Programs including Alliance for Success and the Health and Wellness Programs.

● Research and provide referral resources as needed to participants and ensure all necessary paperwork is accurate.

● Aid in the completion of forms and applications to include but not limited to FAFSA, Medicare, Medicaid SNAP, Census and housing.

● Advocate on behalf of all program participants to ensure proper services are being received.

● Coordination of volunteer scheduling as required to meet client demand.

● Participate in the Coach//Mentor assessment process.

● Oversee recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of volunteers, coaches and mentors.

● Supports active recruitment of volunteers to assist in ongoing operations.

● Operationalize training sessions and seminars for coaches, mentors, students and participants.

● Work to ensure activities and workflow are aligned with documented protocols to facilitate consistency and scalability of program services delivery.

● Assists in the continued development of benchmark metrics for documenting and evaluating program operations such as new client volume, referrals to other organizations, interview activities, and job placements.

● Prepare monthly program reports and update progress toward achieving goals and objectives.

● Attends related meetings on and off-site as needed.

● Works with the leadership team to support Lunch Break’s broader Mission.

● Assists in the planning and production of Special Events as required.

● Performs other special projects and all other duties as assigned.

Skills/ Qualifications required for this position:

● Familiar with government assistance programs such as but not limited to SNAP, Medicare/caid, Social Security.

● Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

● The individual should possess an innate sense of compassion, empathy, and respect for the individuals served by Lunch Break.

● They should have the ability to positively interact with individuals while demonstrating sensitivity to socio-cultural diversity.

● They must always remain conscious of client confidentiality and client/staff boundaries.

● The individual will be expected to be a Team Player who works well with others, with strong interpersonal skills.

● Exceptional leadership, management, and interpersonal skills and strong code of ethics.

● Excellent written and oral communication skills.

● Strong public speaking/presentation skills.

● Strong computer skills, including broad internet knowledge and solid MS Office and Google Docs and Gmail capabilities.

● Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis, and otherwise meet deadlines with strong follow-through and attention to detail.

Education:

● Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.

● A minimum of 5 years of experience in a non-profit environment is preferred.

● Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk

● Walk and climb stairs.

● Be mobile by moving from place to place quickly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.07 - $67,500.00 per year
