Since our inception in 1968, we have been one of the largest providers of supports and services to people of all abilities in the community.: The role of the Speech/Language Pathologist is to work in partnership and enable an eligible child and the child’s family/caregivers to receive the rights, procedural safeguards, and services that are authorized to be provided under the State’s Early Intervention system.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1.Determine Early Intervention services in collaboration with families using the Individualized Family Service Plan.2.Perform home visits, screening, assessment and educational group activities in the natural environments while adhering to all Massachusetts Department of Public Health Early Intervention Operational Standards.3.Attend parent meetings, community case conferences, transitional activities or relevant activities that may include providing insight, information, referrals or advocacy for child and family.4.Maintain and update all clinical records in Early Intervention Client System. 5.Provide co-treatment capacity consultation to other members of the team in matters requiring discipline expertise.6.Prepare for certification as an Early Intervention Specialist within three years of employment.7.Maintain expertise in the Early Childhood Education field through attendance at meetings, in-service training, continuing education or other appropriate educational programs.8.Provide supervision to students and speech and language pathologist assistants as needed.9.Maintain assigned productivity level on a monthly basis.QUALIFICATIONS: You must perform each essential function satisfactorily.
