People First Urgent and Primary Care is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Germantown, TN

Job Description

Our thriving family and urgent care practice needs an experienced Medical Receptionist who can take over the administrative duties involved with coordinating patient and physician schedules as well as bookkeeping, file management and office organization. We’re looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down, look patients in the eye and provide personalized service.

Job duties and responsibilities (include but not limited to):

-Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself.

-Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.

-Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.

-Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.

-Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA availability.

-Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site services.

-Call missed/ cancelled appointments to reschedule.

-Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.

-Engage in the daily development and growth of the practice.

-Ensure patients are receiving quality care.

-Review daily faxes and handle as appropriate.

-Assist team members as needed/as directed.

Medical Receptionist skills

-High school diploma/equivalent required.

-Associate degree preferred)..

-2 years’ experience in medical assisting or administration.

-Familiarity with electronic medical records.

-Great time management skills.

-Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.

-Excellent communication and problem solving skills

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software

-Ability to accept and learn from criticism.

-Great work ethics and a positive attitude. Motivated and dedicated to getting the job done, conscientious to do your best work. optimistic and upbeat, generating good energy and good well.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
