We have an exciting and RARE paid internship opportunity at Longo Toyota/ Longo Lexus designed to provide exposure to different lines of our business that include Sales, Service, & Parts. 

We are seeking 4 high school students that are self-motivated, energetic, & hardworking to join us for a 4-week Summer Internship. This internship will expose you to different facets of the business, by rotating between our different departments. You will work alongside several dynamic individuals with an opportunity to present a final project at the end of the internship. 

 An experience that is sure to be memorable! 

This is a 4-week paid internship program at $17/Hour beginning July 8th through August 2nd. This will consist of being paired with another high school student and a team presentation at the end.

Anticipated Schedule

Monday – Thursday

8am – 4pm

Although this internship is only for the summer, aside from obtaining hands on experience/exposure, it is also our goal that you will gain fundamental tools that will help set your professional foundation.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing experienced sales associates, observing their interactions with customers, and practicing customer service skills.
• Shadowing experienced sales associates, observing their sales techniques and strategies, and practicing sales skills.
• Shadowing experienced service technicians, observing their work and techniques, and practicing vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Will partner and communicate with different levels of management to include directors, and HR.

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, the individual interested in interning for us must be:

• High school student entering their Junior or Senior year.
• An applied student with a GPA of 3.0 or better 
• Hard Working & Dedicated
• Possess the ability to coordinate activities with other employees; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language and work well with the public.
• Must have a valid CA driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Punctual - Adheres to assigned schedule in a timely manner.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Work to be conducted primarily in an office environment, however some work may be done in conference rooms, outdoors, and remote via zoom.
• Use hands and fingers in repetitive motions, daily.
