Join the flagship campus of one of the most innovative, forward-looking FQHCs in the country! Penobscot Community Health Care in Bangor is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join the team.

The successful provider will be dedicated to patient-centered care, and one who is energized by innovation collaboration with team members, and ready to find new ways to meet challenges when faced with them! PCHC is seeking a caring health care professional whose goals align with PCHC’s Mission of service to everyone, regardless of life circumstance! At least two years of clinical PMHNP practice strongly preferred.

This PMHNP position is embedded in our PCHCenter outpatient primary care practice, and is planned for full-time, 40 hours per week. A four-day work week is possible, the successful candidate must be able to work Fridays, with a schedule planned for Tuesday - Thursday 7 a.m - 5:30 p.m. 
Provide psychiatric services under the supervision of the Chief Psychiatric Officer or designee.

  • Establish therapeutic relationships in order to facilitate the patients progress with treatment goals
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, determine diagnoses, prescribe appropriate treatment of a variety of psychiatric conditions
  • Consult with collaborating physicians and other members of an interdisciplinary care team, and more
