A Typical Day

The First Vice President Servicing Compliance Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for directing all aspects of the Compliance and Quality Assurance functions pertaining to Loan Servicing activities to meet the organization’s operating and strategic needs. As the FVP Servicing QA, you will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with mortgage servicing industry laws and regulations related to Treasury (HAMP/HAFA), GSE, VA, FHA, State, and CFPB.

  • Act as the Point of Contact and business unit liaison for Regulatory Updates, Audits/Exams, Remediation, and Policy & Procedure updates on behalf of assigned Servicing business unit(s)
  • Work with Corporate Compliance personnel to identify new or changed regulatory requirements and assess impact
  • Ensure proper interpretation, communication and implementation of laws and regulations related to Treasury (HAMP/HAFA), GSE, VA, FHA, State, and CFPB
  • Perform initial compliance assessment and identify High, Medium and Low areas of risk. For each assignment, understand the various risks, processes, controls, IT systems, business performance metrics, operational challenges, and business initiatives
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content and methods of publication; Assess documentation and automation of business controls
  • Ensure that management is apprised of the results of all Corporate Compliance/QC results on a regular basis and are advised in a timely fashion of any critical deficiencies that could adversely impact operational, reputational or transactional processes within the business unit(s)
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices & procedures
  • Practical understanding of Loan Origination & Servicing software, Database software; Development software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role 
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role 

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
