SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Assistant Warehouse Manager contributes to the leadership team in overseeing all warehouse operations. Candidates must be available for a Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 7:30pm schedule, with flexibility as business demands.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

*Issues written and oral instructions as directed. Assigns duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Expedites workflow

*Assists in maintaining an effective inventory control system and cycle counts.

*Ensures that warehouse procedures and warehouse personnel comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations and follow manufacturer recommendations on material receiving, storage, and shipping.

*Maintains proper housekeeping and safety standards. In coordination with the Warehouse Branch Manager, ensures all certification requirements are met and up to date.

*Oversees warehouse associates. Mentors, trains, and coaches.

*Develops, recommends, and implements methods to improve productivity.

*Willingness for continued training and progression in management and leadership skills.

*Performs other duties as requested by Warehouse Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or President of the Company.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*Excellent organizational and time management skills; demonstrating the ability to organize one’s own responsibilities and manage multiple priorities independently.

*Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.

*Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, customer orders, and packing instructions.

*Ability to accomplish simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

*Able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving a standard of excellence with procedures and outcomes.

*Able to demonstrate excellent teamwork skills by being helpful, accountable, respectful, and approachable.

*Able to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and customer service.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

*High School Diploma or GED is required.

*Two (2) years of experience in a warehouse setting overseeing others

*Preferred candidates have at least two (2) years of experience working with pharmaceuticals or in a pharmacy setting with human or animal health.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION

*Standing or walking for long periods of time.

*Lifting or carrying more than 30 pounds without assistance.

*Pushing and pulling objects with one side or both sides of body.

*Reaching overhead and at/below shoulder level.
