Pennsylvania Legislative Services (PLS) is looking for an Application Developer to assist in the development and management of various legislative data systems to support our exciting and growing business.

• In this position, you will work closely with the PLS management, and our Technology Team, to support, optimize, and manage day-to-day operations of our business applications.

Responsibilities Include:

• Technical support of PLS’s various services on which you will be completely trained, in order to guide our business and support our vision.
• Day-to-day monitoring of systems from a technical point of view to ensure everything is running as expected.
• Continuous development and optimization of processes and tools
• Participation in critical projects to help test and validate new functionalities in the systems to ensure stability and quality during and after deployments.
• Collaborating closely with internal staff as well as external development partners
• Define, document, and maintain system manuals and routines involved to ensure stability and quality of systems.
• Proactively suggesting possible changes and optimizations to the process, tools, and systems,

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in working with Microsoft Azure is a must.
• Additional experience: HTML, CSS, PHP, NodeJS, Mongo, WordPress, and SQL Databases
• Ability to think creatively with strong investigative skills
• Strong prioritization and time management skills as well as strong sense of commitment and accountability.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment: Monday – Friday
• Work hours: 9:00AM – 5:00PM
• Starting Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
• Location: Primarily remote however PA Legislative Services is headquartered in Harrisburg, PA.
