Description

Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School is a state-wide, public (tuition-free) K-12 online charter school with a substantial number of students. Our teachers are part of an educational team whose innovative approach to education is providing a dynamic learning experience for students across the state of Pennsylvania through cyber education. All teachers report to work throughout our various locations in Pennsylvania.

Summary:

The Lead Maintenance oversees the daily duties of the maintenance associates while assisting with these tasks as needed. They will be responsible for monitoring building systems and reporting any issues to the Manager of Facilities. 

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee maintenance associates with essential duties such as: painting, carpet cleaning, furniture moving, replacing light bulbs, repairing and changing locks, minor carpentry, cubicle reconfiguring, furniture repair, event set up/clean up and assist with these tasks as needed 

  • Interacting with vendors

  • Monitoring building systems

  • Small electrical and plumbing repairs

  • Travel required to all West Chester locations and Pittsburgh location (20% 0f the time)

  • Ability to respond to emergency calls after hours as needed

  • Assist with Security operations 

  • Ability to work independently and problem solve 

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrate ability to follow established policies and procedures

  • Able to work independently

  • Reliable in working without close supervision

  • Must have a valid PA Drivers License and a clean driving record for the past 12 months.

  • Able to lift approximately 60 lbs

  • Capable of being active all day and able to climb ladders

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel; Internet skills 

  • Able to work some evening and weekend hours 

  • Committed to doing tasks above and beyond expectations

  • Current (dated within a year) Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances

  • Trade School : graduate of an accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and related experience

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:

  • Physical: Normal vision, speech, hearing, walking, sitting, standing, lifting, stooping, bending, grasping, keyboarding, and filing ability

  • Mental: Positive Attitude, analyzing, problem solving, decision making, and writing.

  • Environmental: Online, office, blended school environment
