Pennsylvania Enterprise is Hiring a .Net Applications Developer Near Portland, OR

Job Overview:

PENNEP is seeking a talented and dedicated .Net Applications Developer to join our client's dynamic team. Job Function Application Development Provides application software development services. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Codes, tests, debugs and documents software applications. Analyzes requirements and tests and integrates application components. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • ​Designs, codes, tests, and documents complex programs and scripts to meet specifications.
  • Maintains application support processes, investigates issues, and generates reports.
  • Prioritizes and resolves incidents, investigates causes, and facilitates recovery.
  • Identifies and resolves system problems, assists with implementation of fixes.
  • Recommends and designs system structures to meet business needs.
  • Defines integration builds, configures hardware, and conducts integration tests.
  • Competencies:
  • Intermediate knowledge in business goals, change management, software configuration, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Familiarity with user experience design frameworks, operating systems, and databases.
  • Skills in customer focus, risk management, communication, decision-making, and organization.
  • Physical and Cognitive Demands:
  • - Requires substantial cognitive ability for problem-solving and decision-making.- Adheres to deadlines and accuracy standards.-
  • Works effectively in a team environment, adapts to change, and applies feedback constructively.
  • What would “a day in the life” of this role look like?: Starts with standup, and the work is assigned for every 2 weeks sprint. Working on upgrade related code changes and help with high priority production incidents.
  • What interaction level with this role have the team members and hiring manager? Maximum interaction is with the team as we operate under Scrum/Agile. Meeting w/ manager GIS Team, Touchbase
  • What would you say is the top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months?: Top priority is to help with custom C# code (ArcObjects/ArcFM) development for the 10.8.1 upgrade project with heavy concentration on testing.
  • What do you foresee being the biggest challenge in this role? Understanding existing code and how the data flows through various integrations between multiple systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Team and Work Environment
  • ​Can you give a high-level overview of your team size, roles, its initiatives/deliverables, and any tool/technologies specific to your team/department/project they will be supporting: Current team consists of 2 Developers, 1 BSA and 1 QA (Quality Assurance) Lead. Team is working on ArcGIS/ArcFM 10.8.1 upgrade from 10.6.1. This GIS team uses ESRI ArcGIS (Desktop and Enterprise) and Schneider Electrics ArcFm for utilities.
  • ​C#, .Net, ASP.Net Development and Microsoft Visual Studio experience
  • ​ArcObjects/ArcFM custom code development experience
  • ​Strong working experience with ArcGIS Suites including ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro, Arc Objects, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Web App Builder / ArcGIS Web Experience Builder, Esri ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python
  • ​Strong working experience with ArcFM Suites including ArcFM Designer, Session Manager, Process Framework, GDBM
  • ​Database and SQL experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
  • ​Experience in supporting geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, and geocoding tools.
  • ​Experience managing the integration of data services and ingests between record keeping systems and GIS, Geoworx, IQGEO
  • ​Experience developing on multiple platforms including Windows and Linux.
  • ​Good Knowledge in Electric Utilities

Nice to have/ Preferred Qualifications:

  • IQGEO (mostly JavaScript, Typescript)
  • ​Automated testing
  • ​ArcGIS Enterprise widget development (experience builder)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
